Subscription & billing
Your first five entries are free. After that, recording new entries takes a subscription, GoodParts Pro. The App Store bills it on iPhone and Google Play bills it on Android, and we do not receive your full payment card number.
Your five free entries
There is no clock on the free entries. They are five entries, whenever you record them, and each one is read for the parts inside it just as a subscriber's would be.
After your fourth, home says once that one free entry is left. When your fifth has been read, its page says once that it was your last free entry, with a link to GoodParts Pro.
Once all five are used, GoodParts shows the subscription screen when you go to record instead of starting a recording. Once GoodParts has found parts in your entries, that screen starts with up to three of them, the question GoodParts is curious about next when there is one, and a reminder that everything you recorded stays yours to read. If an entry is refused when it is saved, its card says: You're out of free entries. Subscribe, then tap Retry to save this one.
Plans
There is one plan, GoodParts Pro, paid Monthly or Annual. The pricing page lists the prices. In the app, pick a plan and tap Subscribe; your App Store or Google Play account confirms the purchase. Under the plans, the app shows the store's terms. On iPhone: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account. Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
On Android: Payment will be charged to your Google Play account. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play; cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
Restore a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Settings and, under Subscription, tap Restore purchases. The subscription screen has the same thing as Restore at the top. GoodParts asks the store your phone uses, the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, for purchases made with the Apple ID or Google account signed in there.
When it finds an active subscription, it says Your purchases have been restored.
When it finds none: No active subscription was found to restore.
Check that the phone is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with. If the store could not be reached: Restore could not be completed. Please try again.
Switch plans or cancel
Open Settings and tap GoodParts Pro, under Subscription. While you are subscribed, it opens your store's subscription page. If that page cannot be shown, the app says Manage your subscription from the App Store.
on iPhone, or Manage your subscription from Google Play.
on Android, where Open Google Play takes you there.
On iPhone, Monthly and Annual are the same plan in one subscription group, so you can change between them from your Apple account settings. On Android, manage your subscription from Google Play. Cancel there too: the store stops the renewal, and the subscription runs until the end of the period you paid for.
Deleting your journal or your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the store first. Your account and your devices covers deleting.
If you stop paying
Your entries stay. You keep reading everything you recorded, and export is never gated. Recording a new entry needs the subscription again once your five free entries are used.
Refunds
Apple and Google take every payment, so we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Ask the store you paid: Apple for a subscription bought on iPhone, Google for one bought on Android. Each decides refund requests under its own policies.
Something else wrong with a charge? Write to us through the support centre. You never need to include anything you journaled about.
